The celebration of the 150th anniversary of the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the Dartmouth College Case was held on April 9, 1969, in the Court of Claims, Washington, D.C.; the celebration also commemorated the career of Daniel Webster, the advocate who defended the case before the Supreme Court. Clark, Charles Peter, 1836-1901

Charles P. Clark received a commission as an acting ensign in the United States Navy in 1862 and was initially assigned to the Eastern Gulf Blockading Squadron and later to the Mississippi River Squadron.
